CHIESINA UZZANESE
The project strategy aims to consider the entire urban contest, not limiting itself to what is the current perimeter of the square but studying the potential inner and outer links, elements and critical aspects of the site.
The goal is to expand the perception of the square, currently fragmented and closed into its borders.
We aim to extend it outwards, creating a solid system with the rest of the hystorical area, creating a large homogeneous space to give Chiesina Uzzanese the dimension of a real “historic center”, where rediscover the pedestrian dimension and encourage everyday social activities.
The Church of Santa Maria della Neve, the Xenodochio, the Town Hall, and the war memorial monument are the main elements involved in the new planning as required by the program.
The footprint of each of themself defines the new spaces increasing their importance and recognizability within the site.
The result is a great platform that connects all the elements mentioned above and introduces new ones. A homogeneous and continuous space where pedestrian circulation and free mobility are the main protagonist.
