VILLA FONTANA
The project consists in the conversion of property of Villa Fontana into a private park, located on the hills of Galluzzo, Florence.
The property is spread over the slopes of a hill and consist of a wooded part, an olive grove, a vineyard and an orchard.
The goal of the project was to integrate these agricultural and natural components with a new circular path that crossed the property, creating new functions for guests, but respecting the landscape and its beauty.
A tennis court with a natural grass background and shielded by massive compact shrubs was therefore inserted, a garden pertaining to the farmhouse with shrub and flowering species, wooden platforms for fitness and yoga and a newly designed bio lake in the lower part of the slope, with the function of impluvium for the recovery of water as well as ornamental and landscaping.
The driveway to the property has been integrated with new rows of cypresses on both sides and with a parking area for guests screened by mixed flowerbeds with a gravel bottom. The orchard has been expanded with new trees maintaining a regular layout and surrounded by square flowerbeds with natural blooms for ornamental purposes.
